I was born and raised in Saint Joseph, Kentucky-a small farm
community outside the city limits. My father is a farmer for the Ursulines Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph, my mother is the
Program Coordinator at the Retreat Center
at Mount Saint Joseph, my two sisters work
for the OMHS as registered nurses, and I work for the Daviess County
School system at Apollo
High School.
I am happily married to my high school sweetheart of 10 years, but we only been married for three of those years.
He is a line and prep cook for Olive Garden. We own a small dachshund named Oscar Myer.
My hobbies include anything art related like drawing, painting, stained glass, and collage. I also enjoy reading
science fiction and horror novels, cooking, listening to music, and spending time with my nephews and niece.
I attended Catholic Schools from the grades of Kindergarten to Eighth Grade, and I transferred to Apollo High School for grades 9-12. I was accepted
to Brescia University
in 2002 and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Art Education with Certification P-12. I am currently attending Brescia University
for my Master’s Degree.
I have been teaching at Apollo for three years. I teach Two Dimensional Design and International Baccalaureate Art
for all grades. I volunteered at Owensboro High
School for the 21st Century project during the 2003-2004 school years teaching photography.
